An old comment, an overly personal post or an address you shared years ago: your social history may need a review. Data Knight’s social media audit helps you find content worth checking on Facebook, YouTube, Reddit and X. You choose what to analyse, then what to keep, edit or remove.
For AI analysis, the rule is simple: 1 Knight = 1 eligible piece of content analysed by AI. Your data inventory is free. You receive 100 free Knights once per account to try Social Pro, then you can buy a pack or use the Knights included in Continuous Protection.
What is a Knight?
A Knight is a Social Pro analysis credit. It pays for the AI review of one eligible piece of content from your history, helping explain why it may need attention. It is not a subscription, a number of accounts or a promise to delete something.
Knights are counted against content analysed by AI, not every item you import. An archive may contain thousands of items without all of them needing AI analysis. Building the inventory and providing advice without AI do not use Knights.
You see the number of items to analyse and the cost in Knights before confirming. You can start with a particular period or content type instead of processing your entire history at once.
What does a social media audit help you find?
The aim is to identify what you no longer want exposed: personal contact details, old comments, posts that lose their meaning without context or information about people close to you. Our guide to auditing old social media content explains the risks to look for.
Social Pro organises findings, explains the signals it detects and helps you decide what to review first. Read the content before acting: a joke, quotation or memory cannot always be judged from a few words.
This audit concerns your privacy and personal history. It does not measure a brand’s marketing performance, engagement rate or follower count.
A practical starting point is reviewing old Facebook comments and reactions, then checking their current audience on the platform after taking an inventory.
How to start your first social media audit
1. Choose a platform in the Social Hub
Open the Data Knight Social Hub, then choose Facebook, YouTube, Reddit or X. Your Knights balance works across all four networks. You do not need a separate pack for each platform.
Social Pro does not currently support Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or Discord.
2. Prepare your history
For Facebook, Reddit and X, import your official account archive. The Facebook flow specifies settings including JSON format and the exclusion of private messages. For YouTube, use the Google connection provided in the flow; no ZIP file is needed.
Archive preparation depends on the platform, so request it before you plan to review your history. The official X archive guide explains where to find the download option and confirm your identity. You do not give Data Knight your social account password.
3. Review your free inventory
Data Knight identifies the items available in your archive or through the authorised connection. Coverage depends on what the platform provides. You can then choose from the available years and content types.
This answers a practical question: how much content do I actually want to analyse? Wait for that number before choosing a pack.
4. Confirm the analysis and review the findings
Check your selection and its cost in Knights, then start the analysis. If you do not have enough Knights, select fewer items or add a pack.
When the results are ready, start with the most sensitive content. For Facebook, Reddit and X, cleanup is guided through the relevant platform. How much do Social Pro Knights cost?
Packs are one-off purchases with no subscription. Purchased Knights do not expire and can be shared across the four supported networks:
- 2,000 Knights: €9.99 for an initial selection of content.
- 5,000 Knights: €19.99 for a larger history.
- 10,000 Knights: €34.99 for a substantial volume or several networks.

Two examples to help you choose
You want to analyse 80 eligible items. If your 100 free Knights are still available, you can complete that first analysis without buying a pack. After analysing 80 items, you have 20 Knights left.
You want to analyse 6,500 items and have 100 Knights left. You need another 6,400 Knights. A 5,000 pack plus a 2,000 pack adds 7,000 Knights for €29.98, compared with €34.99 for the 10,000 pack. After analysing all 6,500 items, 600 Knights remain from your 7,100 balance. This example assumes every selected item is eligible and actually analysed.
Which Knights are included with each Data Knight plan?
Free Digital Scan and Removal: 100 Knights to try it
The 100 introductory Knights are offered once per account. They let you try Social Pro whether you use the free Digital Scan or choose Removal. Upgrading to Removal does not grant another 100 Knights.
A digital footprint scan checks exposure on the public web, with data brokers, in known breaches and in the Dark web sources sources we check. A social media audit examines the history of accounts you import or connect. They address different parts of your online presence.
Continuous Protection: your social accounts and personal data over time
1,000 Knights included every month to analyse your social media. With Continuous Protection, you can use them for new content or work through an older history while benefiting from removal-request tracking and the checks included in your subscription.

Need a larger one-off analysis? You can buy the same Social Pro packs at the same prices alongside your subscription. Monthly Knights do not roll over to the following month; purchased Knights remain available without expiry.
Purchased Knights do not expire. Why are results kept for 30 days?
Your purchased Knights balance and your audit data are separate. Purchased credits remain available without expiry. Archives and analysis results are retained for a maximum of 30 days, then automatically deleted. You can also request their deletion sooner from your account.
Plan to review your results and deal with selected content during that period. Buying a pack does not extend the retention of an earlier analysis.
After the audit, you remain in control
Flagged content does not always need to be deleted. You may be able to edit a post, restrict its audience or remove a particular detail. Social Pro helps you find and assess content; it does not automatically erase your entire history.
If someone else published information about you, ask them to remove it or use the platform’s reporting tools. France’s data protection authority, the CNIL, explains how to address content published without your agreement in its French-language guidance.
