What you see: A name and an old address appear on a public page.
What it means: First check that the listing is yours, rather than someone else’s with the same name.
Your next step: Review the source. If it is your listing, decide whether you want to request its removal.

Professional contact details

Potential presence

What you see: A source may hold contact details associated with your professional activity.
What it means: A signal is not always a confirmed public profile. The level of certainty matters.
Your next step: Check the available evidence and the scope of a request before selecting the organisation.

Data breach

An account to secure

What you see: In this example, an email address appears in a known breach involving login data.
What it means: An erasure request cannot recall copies of data that have already leaked.
Your next step: Change the affected password, check for reuse and enable two-factor authentication.

The free scan comes before removal requests. Check the matches, choose what to address and, if you wish, select a removal offer. Some actions still need to be completed with the relevant service.

The request was sent after the required approvals. The organisation still needs to process it; the outcome is not yet known.
Removal confirmed
The request has a removal confirmation. This does not guarantee that every copy across the internet has disappeared.

Understand the limits

Keep these limits in mind

A scan is not an exhaustive inventory of the internet. Results depend on accessible sources and the information you provide.
A result may concern someone with the same name. Check the match before requesting action.
Some information cannot be erased, including where a legal obligation requires its retention or publication.
Removing a page, delisting it from Google and securing an account are different actions.
